The Minds of BCG Scholarly Forum is a biannual, editorially curated publication that creates space to share ideas and the important work done in palliative care in the South African context.

Barbara and Craig Geoff edit the MoBCG forum, though external editors may occasionally offer editorials or opinions. The Forum welcomes contributions from the Minds of BCG community, postgraduate students and the wider palliative care community. Contributions are editorially reviewed and curated, but are not subject to anonymous peer review. We seek thoughtful submissions that contribute to palliative care discourse.

We particularly value work that explores practical solutions (including novel ideas and quality improvement) and recognises practitioner expertise and lived experience as legitimate and valuable forms of knowledge. Our focus is rooted in the South African palliative care context, while remaining open to ideas and perspectives from beyond it.

The Forum will also connect with our academic programme, including our monthly CPD-accredited Journal Club, where contributors may have the opportunity to present and discuss their work.
