Dr Craig Geoff Howes began his journey in palliative care in 2018 as the inpatient unit doctor at Hospice Wits. In 2020, he established a private palliative care practice and consulted across Cape Town, the West Coast, and Johannesburg until September 2025 when he relocated to Ireland. He continues to support remote communities in South Africa online. He also serves as a part-time lecturer at the University of Cape Town (UCT).
